Together Tuesdays: Connection Reflection

Answer or skip any question you please.

SELF:

-In what ways do you trust yourself?

-What do you have to thank your instincts for?

-Do you feel safe with yourself when you have nothing that needs doing?

-What does it feel like to enjoy your own company? Feelings, thoughts, sensations welcome.

OTHER:

-How do you know when you feel safe in the presence of someone else?

-What do you appreciate about your closest friends/family?

-Fill in the blank. People who feel safe to me exhibit the following behaviors:

-What are your thoughts, feelings, and sensations when you are enjoying safe company?

-Who can you rely on?

-Can you think of a pleasant memory you’ve shared with a loved one?

COMMUNITY:

-In what ways do you experience a sense of safe belonging in community?

-How do you know you belong in community?

-What community settings feel nurturing and protective for you?

-How does it feel to be in a safe community setting: thoughts, feelings, sensations?

-How do you feel about community settings?

-Do you trust your community to help you to some extent in a time of need?

-How do you show up in service of your communities and how does that feel for you?

Sometimes in reflecting on what is good, we notice a wider range of experience. Perhaps we feel grief over what we’ve missed. Perhaps we feel gratitude for what we have. Perhaps we are curious about what is possible for us. Perhaps we are hopeful. We may be devastated.

A reminder when journaling on reflection questions is that you are acceptable just the way you are. Your experiences are valid.
